TRIA Laser Hair Remover
Are you looking for a convenient and long-lasting method of achieving smooth and hairless skin? In 2008 the FDA approved the TRIA Laser Hair Removal System as the first home laser hair removal device. Without compromising safety, effectiveness, or speed, this new device provides an affordable, convenient alternative to professional treatments.

What are the Key Features of a TRIA System?

There are many benefits to be gained from using a TRIA laser hair removal system:

  • Results are thorough and long-lasting–A full course of treatments yields smooth silky skin, lasting for at least a year and sometimes longer. Even after professional treatments, an occasional touchup is needed to remove stray hairs. Home touchups can be done in a matter of minutes at no additional cost.
  • Laser hair removal saves time–A woman shaves up to four times per week, on average. After a full series of treatments–6 to 8 months–you’ll rarely need to use a shaver.
  • Rigorous testing and design features ensure safety–TRIA devices have expertise and years of testing behind them. By the time this product reached the US market, it had gone through clinical trials and had been used in Japan, Spain, and the United Kingdom.
  • The procedure is painless–Users report either no sensation or just a brief sting. The only after-effect may be minor redness which goes away within 24 hours.
  • At home use conveniently fits into your schedule–You can do your personal care at any time of the day or night.
  • TRIA devices are affordable–Professional services are considerably more expensive. The TRIA appliance can be purchased for approximately $795. Professional treatment of a bikini line or underarms can cost from $300 to $450 per treatment; for full results, a series of treatments costs from $1,800 to $2,500.

How Does a TRIA System Work?

The TRIA is a small device that you press to your skin; a beep tells you when to move on to the next patch of hair. A simple button press sends a laser pulse into your skin. The hair pigments absorb the laser beam, creating heat which stops or slows hair growth.

Each time you use the device, some hairs are resting and others are in a growth phase. Repeated sessions are needed to catch all of the hairs while they are growing. For the first 3 months you treat every 2 weeks–after that only once per month, 3 to 5 more times. Following each session your hair will become finer and less dense.

Is Using a TRIA System Always an Option?

Laser hair removal at home is an option for skin below the neckline–for your face, it is best to seek professional assistance. Home devices are very effective for the back, chest, legs, arms, underarms and bikini lines.

A TRIA works best on light skin and dark hair–white, ivory, beige or light brown skin; and black, medium brown, or dark brown hair. Dark hair growth can be stopped because its pigment absorbs the laser heat. Pigmented skin can also absorb the light and may be burned. Scientists are working on finding a technique that is safe for pigmented skin tones.

How to Purchase a TRIA Laser Hair Remover

If you would like to see a TRIA in action, there are aesthetic doctors who sell the devices and are willing to give demonstrations.  If you decide to purchase a home laser device, you can order from TRIA Beauty online below.

    Hi there,

We have a few questions regarding Tria.

    1) Is there a website to show darkness/lightness scale that we can use to determine if Tria will work for certain skin tones?

    2) Compared to professional equipment, how much effective power does it produce at the skin level, percentage-wise?

    3) Can you provide links, specs, etc about this product? How about testimonies?

    4) Is there a limit of usage? How long is the laser or product’s life?

    Best regards,
    -Rod

I have quick question, why does the Silk’n Laser come with replacement units. I assume you will need to keep purchasing more? Does the Tria Unit also need replacements?

I dont want to buy a laser that I have to continue to change units dependant on my usage.

    Di,

The Silk’n comes with two lamp cartridges. Replacements are required because each of the lamp cartridges lasts for approximately 750 pulses (this should be enough for two full body treatments).

The TRIA laser does not need replacing, with the battery giving 250 pulses on a single charge and expected to last 250 charges, you should get over 60,000 pulses out of the TRIA!

I bought the TRIA Laser Hair Removal three weeks ago and it seems to be working for me. I have got dark hair and pale skin - so perfect. The guide tells you to shave before using so as to reduce any pain. I got it online at Pardomuanshop which was about £120 cheaper.
